I am sure you have heard of the saying "Looks Can Be Deceiving". I find that saying to be true in so many ways, but particularly regarding our health & wellness.
As humans, the majority of us make sure we look good on the outside by the way we dress, getting our nails and toes done, and getting our hair fixed. But when it comes to our health and wellness, we do not invest much resulting in poor health.
I am sure you have also heard of the saying "You can't judge a book by its cover". The same situation applies! By all pretense, we look good on the outside, but inside our health is failing and no one knows unless we inform them about our health.
I will use my husband as a good example for this blog. Him and I have had this conversation and totally agree. My husband is a 100% disabled vet. Looking at him you wouldn't know his medical condition because on the outside he looks fit. He has broad shoulders, but his shoulders are not any good. He has had to have rotator cuff surgery to repair damaged muscles and ligaments on the left shoulder and is scheduled for shoulder replacement surgery for the right. Looking at him you would not know that sometimes he is pain. However, he is on track to do what he needs to do to get fit; to do what is needed for his health and wellness.
